Helen Fanning Realistic Fine Artist `Acrylic, Pastel Realism Fine Art Painter

Age 75 and born in Meadville, PA.  Been married 57 years and lived most of my life in Chico, Ca. Was manager of a hospital in the data processing department for 20 years. Retired in 1992 at the age of 58.  I decided to try painting and found out I loved it. My mother started painting at the age of 50 and her mother at the age of 70. None of us knew we could even draw a straight line. I painted for one year before going to any art classes. My teacher asked me to paint a night scene and then she would decided which classes to put me in.  She was so amazed at my painting, she started me in the advanced class.

 I started painting in acrylic then pastels. Have painted over 100 paintings since 1993. Have done many commissioned work, especially animals on 10" Round Myrtlewood for people of their own pets. I now live in Northern Nevada and have my own studio and gallery.  I teach home schooled children from 1st grade thru 6th every school year.

God created this wonderful planet and all it's color, and I am just a speck in his kingdom and he has given me my talent so that I can share this with the world. I praise my father in heaven for it.
